Plain Language Summary
We believe in being honest and clear about how your data is handled. Here's the short version:
- Your tasks are yours. We don't read, share, or sell your data.
- We don't train AI on your data. Your tasks are not used to train any AI models.
- You can delete everything. Just email us and we'll remove all your data.
What Data We Collect
When you use Strategos, we collect and store:
- Account Information: Your email address (used for login)
- Tasks: Task titles, descriptions, quadrant assignments, due dates, and status
- Changelog: A history of all task changes, including the "why" reason you provide for each action
- API Keys: Hashed versions of your API keys for authentication
- Usage Data: Timestamps of when you last used the service
We do not collect:
- Your conversations with AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Browsing history or tracking cookies
- Payment information (we don't charge for the beta)
How Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:
- Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security
- Encryption: All data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- API Keys: Stored as SHA-256 hashes (we never store the actual key)
- Location: Data is hosted in secure cloud infrastructure
Who Can Access Your Data
Only you. Your tasks are isolated by user ID with database-level security. We do not:
- Share your data with third parties
- Sell your data to advertisers
- Allow other users to see your tasks
- Access your data except for technical support (and only with your permission)
AI Integration
Strategos is designed to work with AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT. Here's how that works:
- You control the connection: You authorize AI assistants via OAuth, and can revoke access anytime
- AI sends requests on your behalf: When you ask ChatGPT to "add a task," it calls our API with your authorization
- We don't see your AI conversations: We only see the API requests (e.g., "create task: Review deck")
- We don't train AI on your data: Your tasks are not used to train any machine learning models
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You have the right to:
- Export your data: Contact us to receive a copy of all your data
- Delete your data: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
- Revoke AI access: Disable API keys at any time
To request data export or deletion, email us at the address below. We'll process requests within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
As Strategos evolves from beta to production, we may update this privacy policy. We will:
- Post the updated policy on this page with a new "last updated" date
- Notify users of significant changes via email (if we have your email)
